2. System and Rate of Play:
The Championship will be played in 9 rounds according the Swiss System.
Time control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move from the first move.
3. Tie-Break System :
A – Direct Encounter
B – Buchholz Cut 1; Buchholz Cut 2
C – Number of Victories
N.B: All players having the same number of points will share their money prizes equally.
Tie-break system will be used for ranking and trophies/Cups distribution.
4. Applications & Registrations :
The 11th Beirut International Championship is open to all players regardless of their title or rating.
The application should be returned not later than 5st November 2022 to Mr. Jacques Bedrossian. By mail: jack.bedrossian60@hotmail.com

7. Appeal Committee :
The Appeal Committee (3 members and 2 reserves) will be declared during the players meeting.
8. Tournament Bulletin : The bulletin will be posted online on our website.
9. Fees :
The entry fee for the 11th Beirut International Open Championship is:
a- US$ 50 for Unrated players.
b- US$ 30 for Rated players, juniors and women.
c- Free for the FIDE title players.
10. Accommodation :
The accommodation will be at the hotel “Tamar Lancaster ” – Hadath – Beirut.
Upon invitation: Free accommodation will be offered for the players holding the titles GM, WGM, IM
Hotel fees are as one Person/Per Night (H.B) in: – Double Room: 80 US$ – Single Room: 100 US$
The prices include breakfast, lunch, VAT and Free Internet,
All payments for the accommodation should be paid in advance.
11. Local Transport :
Transportation: Airport – Hotel & Hotel – Playing hall will be arranged by the Organizer.
12. Weather Conditions :
In November the weather is moderate. The temperature is usually between 180 and 240 Celsius.
